We offer a few common post-processing options to help you get the highest-quality parts possible.
- Ceramic tumbling / Stone Washing
Ceramic tumbling is available for most parts and materials less than 5"x5" overall. Ceramic tumbling is used to soften sharp edges and give a better feel to the part if it will be handled often (for example, a keychain). Ceramic tumbling leaves the part with a matte finish in most cases. We do not offer a polished finish or polishing services.
- Linear Ultra Finish (LUF) / Brushed Finish / Grained Finish
Our Linear Ultra Finish (LUF) is a straight-line brushing option. The LUF process will give most materials a short-grained appearance along the longest axis of the part.
LUF is available for parts smaller than 30"x30", and larger than 2"x2". Please contact us to review your parts to verify they can be processed.
- Non-cosmetic deburring
Standard, non-cosmetic deburring is factored into our online quoter. Some materials such as cold rolled steel receive no deburring, and materials like aluminum get the backside deburred at a minimum.
If you prefer no deburring at all, please just add that as a note when you checkout. You can also select "non-cosmetic" on your order at checkout, and you'll save about 5%.
Please contact us via email - firstname.lastname@example.org for all options and pricing. Pricing is based on a number of factors including material, quantity, part geometry, weight and finish type.
Do you offer bending, powder coating, painting or welding?
We offer additional services for larger production runs (>50 units). Additional services can add 2-10 days of additional processing time. Contact us for details.
Will there be scratches on my parts?
Possibly. Due to our manufacturing process, some cosmetic defects and scratches may be present on your part, especially on the bottom side that contacts the laser bed. Thick aluminum (>.250") may have a slight burr on the bottom edge. Contact us about finishing options such as ceramic tumbling, brushing/graining or Linear Ultra Finish.
